2nd time here this time with our daughter , it was chilly we wrapped up , we enjoyed the afternoon and the iconic views …….stunning
Just about everything right
This place does just about everything right. Kids, elderly, youngsters, adults all have something to fun do and explore. Parking is only the issue that needs attention.
Would recommend
Stunning views. Quarrymans hospital was closed when social media said it was open. Otherwise a well laid out heritage site. Easily accessible. Train ride a good price for an hour.
Lovely but busy
The lake is beautiful & the walk flat, close to town with good parking but very busy so not peaceful. Worth a visit if you’re in the area but not as beautiful as elsewhere

We had a walk around the park when visiting the area for the lake railway. We had a nice walk down to the lake and around the slate mine area. There is plenty of seating about. There is parking and to...
