This is a lovely place to visit, very interesting especially the murals painted by the Monks. The open day is well worth a visit your made very welcome

The picture on this heading is not of the monastery itself but of the church the monks and nuns use occasionally. They welcome visitors, you don't need to be an orthodox Christian or even a Christian ...
A wonderful historic gem
A very old church hidden in the woods of Kakopetria. Surrounded by mountains and green it’s breadthtaking. Byzantine icons on the wall fading away.
Small piece of St Athos on English land
This is the Orthodox monastery founded by the Athosian Old Sofroni Sakharov. I recommend to the pilgrims who want to pray, confess, participate. You will be understood in several languages.
