It's the home of Mastic Villages. You are also able to see Christopher Columbus' house, where he stayed while learning to sail. You can buy some local souvenirs and beverages there.
The beautifully painted Houses and narrow streets leading to the Church and square for drinks. Its 5 deg cooler there so visit on a hot day. well worth a walk round the narrow streets.
The village is believed to be established by the Genovies (about the Xth century D.C.), who ruled the island in the Middle Ages. The streets, narrow and unforeseeable where only one motorcycle can be found today ...

It is a very painting village with its houses decorated with geometric figures and with balconies, lighting tomatoes and peppers put to dry.
