Sat Taw Yar Pagoda

If you visit Mingun you will see it

Mingun area is not large, so you will pass by this pagoda on the walk from boats to village. Pleasant, well maintained.

Lovely pagoda

This one can never compete with other famous monuments in Mingun but it was interesting to see the footprint of the Buddha and the wooden boat from the past.

Newly resorted

Temple along the main route and on the beach. Can take the beach route back to ferry terminal. Small site but well maintained. First major temple along the route. Need guide to explain history

Dainty compound

This pagoda also offers exquisite architecture tucked behind a monastery. It’s overshadowed by the more magnificent Hsinbyume Pagoda.

Pretty pagoda in a nice setting

This pagoda is the first one you see when you visit Mingun by boat. It is in a lovely tree lined sttting which complements the deatiful white Pagoda with gold spires
