We enjoyed the sunset on the beach while eating fish and chips. The beach is large and there is enough space for all activities. We took a lot of sunset views. It was a bit remote but one of the best beaches I have ever been to. The beach at the races is unpolluted, very vast and beautiful. This place is perfect for playing with family and friends on a sunny day, that small shallow lagoon is a good place for children to play in the water, exploring the caves is very interesting (thankfully there are no bats inside), climbing the dunes is also very interesting, Driving from the city to the beach is full of scenery, really enjoyable, although a bit windy. Be careful of the waves, it looks inconspicuous and actually scary, so be sure to stay away from the lifeguards and don't let children go to unsupervised waters.

A natural west coast beach with black iron sand. Suitable for walking along the beach or for jungle walks. Beach can be dangerous so take care of swimming. Small local mobile cafes are also on the beach. The journey from downtown Auckland to the beach takes about 50 minutes, but you have to drive through some amazing bushes. The road to the beach is blocked.
A rugged West Coast Black Sand Beach with beautiful scenery and natural scenery. Easy to shuttle through caves and explore rocks. Great for walking dogs. Surfing beach is for experienced people but can also go to play in the water. Prepare for high winds and hot sand in summer. Lake Weimanu is great for walking across dunes and riverbeds. There is a small family running coffee trailer, offering hot chocolate and cold drinks, even pizza, burgers and fries, at reasonable prices, and they also support eftpos cards. It is well worth a 45-minute drive from Oakland.
Bissels Beach, Tihenga, is a quiet and secluded attraction. It's heaven. There's hardly anyone on the beach. The beach is very wide and long, and the waves are very low. It's very suitable for walking alone. When I was there, it was spring and windy, so we didn't experience the heat on the beach, only a few tourists walked around, and some local people and their dogs. Very quiet and beautiful.
Bissels Beach is located on the west coast of Auckland. It's about an hour's drive west of Auckland Center. There are few tourists to play in the water. They are not suitable for swimming. It's good to see the sunset scenery.
