This is one of the "big three" Japanese cedar trees in Oki. It has a cool shape. You can see it from the road...or just park your car and take a photo in front of this giant tree.
I stopped by on the way from Oki Kokubunji Temple to Shirashima Coast via Choshi Dam. The shoulders are wide and a few cars can be stopped. It seems that it was named because it resembles the tip of Kaburaya (there are various theories). It was a natural monument designated by the prefecture for about 600 years old, and it was a magnificent old cedar like the cedar on Yakushima.
