It’s great to see the lake pink with algae and minerals, and when there’s no rain after the warm weather. Parking is very limited, but if you can't find a parking space, leave the park and turn left at the roundabout, you can park in a nearby industrial area, where there is a path that runs from the old railway line.

It was exciting to visit this pink lake but disappointing it wasn’t pink anymore. I only saw the pink lake a month later! Anyway, it was near the highway. If you are there, please drop by to see if the lake has turned pink. We visited here in mid-June 2019.
Seaweed growing in the salt crust at the bottom of the lake produces red substances, and the high temperature and abundant sunshine in summer make the salinity of this Salt lake rise, forming Melbourne's pinkest lake, attracting many ins bloggers to punch in. Westgate Park is a very original urban park, in addition to Salt Lake, there is an ordinary lake, the area is larger. The whole park is almost unattended, and one or two locals can be seen moving in sporadic ways. There are several trails in the park: River walk 1.5KM 20 minutes Lake walk 1.8KM 22 minutes Heath walk 1.2KM 15 minutes Salk Lake walk 0.8KM 10 minutes Address: Fisherman_s Bend, Melbourne Traffic: At the entrance, I saw the 265 bus stop to and from the city center and the 606 bus stop to and from elsternwick. Westgate park This station is Fisherman''s bend terminus or take 235 Fishermans Bend bus and get off at Wirraway Dr. Tips: 1. The lake is not always so powdered, The high temperature in summer is easy to appear pink, and the winter will almost return to the original appearance. Before you come, you can check the lake water situation on ins. 2. If you drive on Westgate Park (Wharf road), the entrance will be a bit far from the powder lake, you can locate Salt Lake (close to Tood road) 3. The park itself is relatively desolate, Pay attention to sun protection in summer 4. Try not to take pictures in the water, the salinity is very high
