Danzhou Island

The ancient city of Danzhou is located in Sanjiang County, built during the Ming Dynasty. The city is close to square, with a circumference of 293 feet, a height of six feet, a thickness of two feet, and a passageway is built on the top of the wall except for the roof. The width is nine feet. The wall is a standard brick building in the Ming Dynasty. The city has four gates, the four gates are called Dongjiri Building, Nanxunfeng Building, Xitaibai Building, Beibei Emperor Building. Today only two floors in the northeast. There is no bridge to connect the ancient city to the other side. The villagers oppose the construction of the bridge, on the grounds that "Once there is a bridge, there is no Danzhou".
