Peaceful
Sano is one of the bigger shrines in the area and a lovely spot to visit and re-energize. The long path leading to the main gate goes through the forest, and it looks like it's sliced right out of a f...
A walkable distant from the nearby hot springs town, this is a rather pretty shrine with a long tree lined approach dotted with bright orange torii. Well worth making part of your hiking trail.
The Sano Temple (野神社) is located in Takaharu, a small village at the foot of the mountains of Kirishima. This temple, despite its rather well hidden location, is one of the largest surroundings.

It seems that it is not well known, but it is a mysterious and Qing 々 shrine. The approach to the shrine, which is more than 1km straight from the main shrine, covered with cedar trees, is very impressive. ※ There are some steps, but it is relatively easy to walk. There are 2 parking lots, and there is also a parking lot near the main shrine, but please walk along the straight approach and feel the negative ions.
It is one of the shrines you would like to stop by if you come to Kogen Town. I felt that the dignified air was flowing in the tranquility. According to the shrine legend, it is the place where Emperor Jinmu was born. It's a place where you can feel a long time ago.
