A huge space, very impressive just for that. Very quiet compared to Hotel de Dieu in Beaune and not presented for tourists with all the window dressing - beds, etc - but this and the absence of many ...
We liked it better than Beaune because less touristy and not overcharged. This building is the first of its kind. The roof truss (about 700 years old) is a fantastic carpentry.
We were all alone when we visited this beautiful old building. A gigantic chapel, with a couple of less interesting rooms upstairs. Certainly worth a visit when in the neighbourhood of Tonnerre!

First Hotel Dieu
