Falkenburg is a Dutch town located on the banks of the river of the southeastern part of the Limburg province, also known as the town of marsh. Because of its lime-rich soil, the yellow marsh has been used as a building material since the Roman Empire. The city of Falkenburg is shining with festive glitter over Christmas. The annual underground Christmas market runs from mid-November to December 23, making it an iconic event for the city. The Christmas market is ingeniously placed in the caves beneath the ruins of the castle, mysterious and fairy tale. The cave is usually open to visit, and you need to use lights to move in and out, but during Christmas the caves are dazzling with fairy-tale decorations, which are unique in the Netherlands and Europe. In the gorgeous caves, there are many Christmas markets, no obvious theme. Decorations, toys, clothes, daily necessities, bags, snacks, some of you go shopping. Of course, there are also a dazzling Christmas merchandise huts, a variety of Christmas gifts. Decoratives, toys, clothes, daily necessities, bags, snacks, some of them you go shopping. I bought a lot of Christmas decorations, some of which I haven't seen in other markets. Also, don't forget to enjoy the murals and sculptures in the cave. Not only do they give visitors a sense of the cultural essence of Christmas, they can also appreciate the almost forgotten Falkenburg legend.
