What travelers say:

Built in the 14th century by then king Charles V, the castle is now one of the most well-protected and largest in Europe. Although not as famous as the castle in the western Louvre region on the map, it has undergone vicissitudes and has been completed by successive kings over five centuries of construction and additions. It has a significant influence on French architectural culture along with the Louvre. Its composition is mainly five parts: the first to see is of course one of the tallest middle-world buildings in Europe DONJON. This height is still well protected. At the bottom of the main tower is a large square courtyard with two entrances, of which the main entrance is very carefully decorated. It was built from 1337 to 1373 over a period of about 40 years. It is said that the design and decoration of the courtyard are widely referenced and applied in the military architecture of the future. On both sides of the castle are the very typical Middle World architecture of the Pavillion, which was designed and built in the 17th century by the famous architect le vau for the king and queen. Since the mid-15th century LOUIS XI, the castle has undergone a dramatic change. The royal bedding house was moved out of DONJON and plans were begun to build pavilions. After generations of kings, the pavilions were constantly designed and changed, and finally formed in the 17th century after the history of the French-British century war and religious struggle. The most beautiful is the royal chapel (church). It took nearly two centuries from 1380 to 1552 to be completed. European churches are everywhere, the outside glass walls are made of colorful glass, beautifully decorated. A chapel for worship by kings and queens. The church is designed in a medieval royal style. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1853.
