Lots to see here just driving through
We just drove the state highway which much had been decimated by fire nearby. We saw lots of things, but finally spotted a moose which we had been scouting for. An amazing place.
The paths are designed for easy access to viewing wildlife and nature. Park is easy to get around and there are birds galore. Wished I had more time there.
Made 3 drives through the refuge in 3 days. Great viewing of moose (11 spotted, including a mom and baby.) Saw long-earred owl, deer, fox, rabbits, pronghorn, prairie falcon, pelicans.... had the pla...
You will see plenty of water birds, white-tailed prairie dogs and perhaps pronghorns but the Greater Sage Grouse are hard to find. There are no walking trails.
