Warsaw Barbican

The Barbican was built in 1548, it is directly situated where the Old Town merges into in the New Town. It served as an access gate for the Old Town and is integrated directly into the Warsaw City Wall that surrounds the Old Town.

The first time I saw the red brick city gate and city wall in Europe, it was very similar to the Chinese city wall. There was a familiar feeling. The city gate and city wall were very thin. Can it play a defensive function? The moat was dry. We also had a casual meal by the way.

Barbican is the old town of Warsaw, but the red-brick castle was later rebuilt. Originally a fortification in the ancient city of Warsaw, there is now a small exhibition hall, showing some old pictures of Warsaw, which can see the fate of Poland through the ups and downs.

The name Barbican is a bit interesting. Just look at the name. It is said to be a translation. In fact, it is a fortification in Warsaw between the old city and the new city. It is a new building rebuilt after World War II. People still feel the atmosphere of war here, and now it's a famous tourist attraction in Warsaw.

Babiken, located in Warsaw's old town, is a historic military defense fortress, dark red exterior walls, the fort used to shoot above the castle, the overall fortress is semicircular, the fortress was destroyed by the German army in World War II, and now sees reconstruction after World War II.
