Yuhu Park (Northwest Gate)

Yuhu Lake is located in the center of Xiangtan, west of the First Xiangjiang Bridge. A bird's-eye view of the bridge, including the lake and the river, surrounded by the shade of willows, and the dancing of birds and swallows. Rain Lake, in fact, can be called "Liu Lake". It seems that it is difficult to find a park with so many weeping willows and such beautiful weeping willows in the world. She is particularly beautiful, the willow smoke in early spring, and the willow shade in midsummer. Yuhu Lake has always been a famous scenic spot in Xiangtan. Since ancient times, the famous saying "Weeping Willow Bigu Pagoda, Sunset Red Half Bridge" has been passed down to this day. The whole lake is divided into upper, middle and lower lakes, covering an area of about 12 hectares. Two bridges, Qixing and Baxian, with different styles, were built in the lake. There are pavilions and pavilions in the lake, the color of weeping willows and smoke, the green shores of the lake, and the coquettish flowers. The main scenic spots are the Origin Hall, Shore Flower Pavilion, Shuangbifang, Xizhao Pavilion and so on. In addition, a new children's playground, water plants, windmills, flower beds, and greenhouses have been built. Various small exhibitions such as flowers, painting and calligraphy, and photography are often held in the park, which has become a central place for Xiangtan citizens and foreign tourists to entertain and rest. The annual Chrysanthemum Exhibition in Xiangtan City is also held here.
