Beautiful and welcoming Buddhism Temple tucked within the forest

Beautiful temple surrounded in a beautiful forest. I talked with a women who was very welcoming and kind, and invited me to join a zazen meditation practice. I am looking forward to coming back.

I heard from a local friend that the hydrangea is beautiful and visited. Unfortunately, only a few flowers were in bloom yet, but the appearance of the temple was wonderful. Especially, there was a zazendo and I felt like a Zen temple.

It is an old temple of the Soto sect standing at the foot of Mt. Takakusa in Yaizu City. I 々, Buddhist Japanese are very ordinary old temples, but from the foreigners of trip advisor fans, there may be interesting discoveries.

It is a famous mountain temple style temple just off Yaizu city. It is a few minutes drive from the Tomei Expressway Yaizu Interchange! Parking lot and toilet are also available. Jizo-sama is lined up on the mountain surface on the way to the main hall, and the scene full of moss is a picture! The main hall and the bell hall are magnificent! It feels like a quiet mountain temple!
