Nice experience but you should be aware of a few things
The place closes at 21:00. Service in the morning starts at 7:00 and breakfast at 7:40 and not earlier as mention in other posts. Food is so so. Very nice but you risk to remain hungry so you might ...
It was a temple located adjacent to "Yamatotakada Sazanka Hall". When I dived down the mountain gate, the main hall stood in front of me, and a "study of training Daishi" stood in the cleaned precincts.
It's in the back, so it's a little 々 It's in a difficult place to understand. It was a temple where I personally felt the rust that the bell, persimmon and autumn looked good.
However, if you go by train, it is far from the station. It's in a very annoying place, but instead, you can calmly worship without the hustle and bustle.
There are many Buddhist altar shops in Hongo Town. If you enter from the street, you will find Fudoin in the back. The principal image is one of the few important cultural properties in Yamatotakada city.
