In terms of location, the hotel is well connected in terms of public transportation (that is free in Luxembourg) but is a bit isolated (it’s in a new area surrounded by construction work and/or offices/ residences (during the weekend and holidays was deserted). Finding a place for dinner at walking distance during the weekend was a challenge and the hotel doesn’t offer option besides a simple breakfast.
Frontdesk staff was friendly and supportive.

The location is very good. I went out to play when I arrived at the hotel. I took a shower late at night and found hair in my bathrobe. It was too late and I was too tired to bother. I told the hotel front desk about this the next day. They were very nice and kept apologizing. I asked them to replace it with a new one because I had doubts about the hygiene of the entire hotel because of this hair. The front desk manager and others said they would compensate me for something. I said forget it and went out to play again.
When I returned to the hotel after playing for 5 hours, the room card was invalid! The front desk swiped the card again and went up to the room. I found that it was being cleaned. They were very nice and hoped that we could wait for 20 minutes. We went down to the lobby and waited for 20 minutes before going to the room. I found that the bathrobe with other people's hair was still there. They didn't replace it for me! ! ! I was speechless. I complained to Ctrip, and the result was that everyone from the cleaning staff to the manager came to my house. I kept insisting that it was a bathrobe, but everyone who handled it asked me if it was a towel. I was even more tired to deal with it. They directly told me not to come again and apologized. In addition to being very nice and saying sorry, from the front desk to the back-end, even the bathrobe and towel were not clearly communicated. This hotel should have been my good memories, it was so disappointing!
Room was small but clean. Staff very helpful loved the bar area. Restaurant was closed due to a holiday but breakfast was impressive and loved having a free shuttle to the airport

To go to the city centre, you can go back to the airport to take the tram or bus (20 to 30 min to reach the centre).

The floor is quite old, the carpet will need a refresh.
Overall, It is fine to stay at this hotel for a night, especially to catch an early flight or if you arrive late.
I stayed at the DoubleTree Luxembourg with my 80-year-old father, who is unwell and was extremely tired after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to the elevator motors, and the noise kept both of us awake almost the entire night. My father finally managed to fall asleep around 7:00–7:30 AM after hours of discomfort.
However, at 8:00 AM, there was a knock on our door. I opened it half-asleep, and the staff member simply said “It’s ok” and walked away. I later saw the same person again in uniform, so clearly they were a member of the hotel team. I still cannot understand why they knocked at that time, and what exactly was “ok,” especially when it was obvious the room had severe noise issues and guests could still be resting.
I shared all of this with the reception team and politely asked to speak with the manager. Instead of a brief conversation or even a quick acknowledgment, I was handed a handwritten note with the manager’s email. After travelling with an elderly parent who was in pain and exhausted, I was genuinely hoping for a bit of understanding or empathy. Even a short apology would have meant a lot at that moment.
I should mention that breakfast was also quite basic and didn’t match the DoubleTree standard I’m familiar with, so overall the stay was unfortunately far below what I usually experience with Hilton properties.
I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of complaining, but because the situation placed my father—who is already unwell—under a lot of unnecessary stress. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, this experience was difficult for me, and I sincerely hope management can review what happened and decide on an appropriate way to make this right.
Hotel location is excellent, just opposite the train station. When checking-in took the room, he initially gave us a low-rise room, surrounded by the opposite room, no view at all, and the patio location, and later we asked to change the room, because I booked in Trip.com with a city view. Later, they immediately changed a room facing the train station street to us, proving that there is actually a better view room, but they just don't give it to you first. The room is facing the big bang, and the street is noisy at night, sometimes people shout or play loudly. The room size is small, the bathroom and bathroom are small, and the sink can't place items at all. There are also traces of dust on the glass window, which is not like a brand-name hotel at all. The $2000 one night room is a bit worthless.

One thing I definitely have to commend the hotel for: I accidentally left my car keys on the sofa by the entrance and only realized they were missing when I got back late. I rushed to the front desk, and even though the shift had changed, they thankfully found them in a drawer. Even more coincidentally, I met the family who found the keys right there at the front desk. Everyone was so kind, and I'm incredibly grateful. Losing them would have absolutely ruined our entire trip!
The hotel entrance has bus route 29 directly to the airport, train station, and city center. The room window can be opened and closed manually, and occasionally you can see planes taking off and landing, but I didn't hear any aircraft or car noise. However, the sound insulation between rooms was relatively poor. The bed was six feet wide and very comfortable. The downsides are that the room size is a bit small and there's no electric kettle provided in the room.
Perfect stay, spacious rooms, great service. Very close to the city centre. Breakfast was also very good, not crazy amount of options but everything was fresh and tasty, service was awesome. For sure recommend to stay here

GGuest UserThis hotel is well placed in a quieter area and the free bus is available just outside the door. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were really clean. They serve a good buffet breakfast in a lovely small room. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

BBarry DoranI had a very nice time at the hotel. It was very practically located, right next to the airport terminal. The room was spacious, had a great view over the airfield, but also over a beautiful terrace garden, and the bed was very comfortable. I tried the restaurant on two different evenings and was very happy with the food and drink on both occasions. Air conditioning worked very well.
There were only some minor negative points - hand soap dispenser didn't work, and the shower gel wasn't filled during my 5-night stay
I especially appreciated the hotel's location on the morning of my departure - being able to wake up at 4.45am for a 6.15am flight was great! I would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel overall
GGuest UserTravelled to Luxembourg with two friends, 3 people overall. The location is spectacular, very close to the main station as well as the city center. Just great. The room itself was alright, nothing fancy, generally clean. Towels were provided. No AC, so be aware of that in summer time. The beds were not very long, but if you are below 1.85m you should be fine!

There's a small shopping mall nearby, but it closes quite early, and a few restaurants.
