"The hotel's location was excellent; I'd say it offered great value for money. It was a 7-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk from the main squares. What I didn't like about the hotel was that there was a smell similar to a toilet immediately after getting into the elevator. Another thing I didn't like was that despite the cold weather, there was a fan directly above the bed constantly blowing cold air."

"It was a very pleasant and cozy hotel. The check-in is at the bar around the corner. The shared bathroom is used by 3 rooms on the floor which is not too bad. The location is great as well - close to the train station and about 1 km from the city centre and the area around the hotel is very nice and clean as well. Would definitely stay here again"

"Hotel parking should be parked in the open space next to the church entrance, and at most, it can be parked for 9 hours. It is impossible to pay the parking fee beyond the time. We did not drive the car in time and received a ticket of 25 euros. The hotel is in the city center and the location is very good."

Great
GGuest UserVery cosy atmosphere even the hotel is a little bit in the age. The quality of breakfast is good 👏. Not a huge variety but very good made. A little bit pity is the bar not open on Sunday, so we had to go to outside to search drink.
GGigz_Had an unforgettable day in Bruges! This hostel is great overall. The front desk staff were really nice, and even though the toilets and showers are shared, they were very clean and plentiful. You can cook in the shared kitchen, and since the hostel is in a street-front house, you can always step outside to sit by the door and enjoy the breeze – very chill!
GGuest UserCozy and nice looking hotel near the center of Bruges.
Nice location - near the center of Bruges but at the same time quiet and right next to the canal and bus stop.
Lobby, halls and stairs areas look just gorgeous! Cool old furniture, paintings, statues etc. The stairs themselves are wooden and beatifully made.
My room (number 2) had tall ceilings and huge windows facing the canal. Only wish it would have been on one of the upper floors. Same thing with old-style furniture in the room - that was nice and beatiful. But the old and worn power outlets were not that nice. Also, the fridge in the room was a joke - it sorta worked but didn't keep stuff in it cold, couldn't even handle a couple of beers.
The bed was very comfortable and I've slept like a baby.
The lobby zone was very nice to hang, really enjoyed having a beer in the evening, sitting there in one of the sofas.
The breakfast was okay, not very diverse, but everything was tasty and fresh. A bit missed the porridge though.
Overall, it was good experience, I've enjoyed my stay!
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit old, but it's clean and well-equipped. The room was small, and the outlets were inconveniently located near the floor. It's super quick to get to the station – just turn left after exiting! To get to Bruges city center, it's about a ten-minute walk. The Basilica of the Holy Blood was quite unique. I stumbled upon a market and found some really cheap food like grilled pork chops, chicken legs, and pork knuckles – I ate my fill! There's a Carrefour Express downstairs; things aren't particularly cheap, but they have 500ml cokes for €0.50, which is a good deal!
NNeilJHotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. If you drive yourself, it is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The car is clearly parked next door, but it took half an hour to get to the hotel entrance (one-way street + road closure)
GGuest UserMy partner and I had one of the mansion suites on the 3rd floor. Although our room didn’t have a view it was spacious and comfortable. The toiletries smelt divine.
The bed and pillows were super comfy.
Staff are friendly.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of fruit and fresh juices / smoothies. Customised omelettes were made.
The hotel itself is boutique, contemporary and in a good location to Brugge Train Station, buses and also all the main attractions. It is nestled down a quiet street but still close enough to main attractions.
You have waffles and fresh potato fries shops within a minute walk from the hotel, including a supermarket if you need anything.
AAnne LiekeWe had a nice time at Talbot House. The big plus is the historic value of the place, as we visited the area to learn more about WWI. So amazing to be able to explore the house and talk to the volunteer working here. Other things we liked were the friendly service and breakfast. Also big plus we could bring our dog, staying in the garden house.
With the cold whilst we were there, not having central heating was a bit of a struggle as the aircon is only on during the afternoon/evening and harder to set to a consistent temperature. Also the shared bathroom’s window couldn’t be closed, so absolutely freezing to go to. Last, our room was on the small side and felt a bit cramped especially with our dog. But overall good value for money.
GGuest UserPOS: very central location 50 mtr from casino and beach; historical building with old charm; quite big but with a family atmosphere; (my) room recently renovated; pleasant bar area; quiet; considering location reasonably priced.
NEG: elavator super slow, tiny and shaky at times (7 floors); bathroom good but shower itself clumsy; staff could use some extra training > in 4 days' stay there was always something not done or missing, and worst of all in spite of plenty of mgmt messages to save energy, in 2/4 days we came back late night and aircon had been switched on (by staff, not us), on a day it was barely 20 degrees, meaning complete waste of energy, and cost.
VVinny OMartin’s Brugge was perfectly located near the center of everything. After town hopping every day prior to arriving in Bruges, we stayed a couple nights here. I probably had some of the best sleep in their beds. Really liked the location and the beds. We really didn’t have any interaction with staff, easy check in and check out, that’s it. Really all that we could as for. No above and beyond services. Seems like the room had water damage due the shower leaking from the bathroom to the bedroom.
Location and beds would be enough to want to re-book here.
