GGuest UserThe room was clean and quiet, and even though there were a lot of guests, breakfast was Western-style with bread, fresh milk, fresh yogurt, bananas, apples, sausages, boiled eggs, and mashed potatoes. If you're not used to it, bringing some pickled mustard stems as a side dish will do, as there aren't any vegetables, but an apple works. Hot water, disposable cups, coffee, and tea bags are available 24/7 next to the bar. The staff were very welcoming. Luggage storage and airport transfers are both free. There's a shuttle service every half hour for airport transfers; just call the front desk when you arrive, and the car will depart. The driver was very helpful and actively assisted with carrying our luggage.

GGuest UserNice property. Very ridge on early and late check-in and check out. Check on time is 1:00 and it is an extra $50 to check in early. Check-out time is 11:00 and can be extended to noon without a fee but beyond that it is $50. Breakfast is a little bit light with no hot foods. Great pool and water slide along with a hot tub. I had a suite, and room size was good, almost a mini condominium.

PPianist with no handsThis hotel was built in 1885 with historical background according to the pictures on the wall. It would be more informative if there was a more thorough descriptions next to the pictures and become a museum like Inn. We stayed in the Superior King room with balcony, the river view was excellent. This little town is very tranquil with relaxing vibe. We loved to stay in the balcony, unfortunately, there is no any BBQ or stove for cooking here, or we would love to stay more days. There is also no sun umbrella or shaded place in the balcony, and it could be very bright and hot even during 11C in the summer. Our room is the closest to the car park, but we can’t access the stairs directly down to the car park. Instead, we had to detour in the hotel, walked the a few levels of stairs with passing two doors to the car park. There are more than a dozen of stairs in the hotel. Elderly and anyone with leg or back problems need to be aware of it.
Our room has been renovated recently. Everything maintains in very good condition, besides of the air conditioning. The air conditioning system was connected to another three rooms in the same isle. If any of the room turns on the heater while everyone is using the cool mode, the air conditioning will be shown in error. Thanks for Meghan that she was willing to come back to the hotel for us in 5 mins even it was out of her work time. She has been very helpful and nice during our stay. She is the best front desk I have seen on this island. We were happy with our stay, even we noticed that the noisy music from the pub right under the hotel level not only on in the weekend until midnight. However, we felt that compressor next to us had been noisy all day. We only felt quiet after we turned off the bathroom ventilator, air conditioning and closed the window. There was also two washing machines and one dryer on site charging only CAD$2 for each laundry. I think this is the cheapest laundry service on the island. The last but not least is the bath towels. We can’t stand with it snowing with crushes. I would suggest people bringing their towels. And the water pressure was too weak like a garden pot watering.

Ddanielso2010Pros: 1. The hotel's location right by the Inner Harbour is convenient for visiting several nearby attractions. 2. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and gave us detailed information about the hotel's entertainment and dining facilities, as well as local sights. Knowing we were driving, they also informed us about parking (even though there's a charge). 3. The beds were comfortable. Cons: 1. Due to the hotel's age, the bathroom only has a bathtub, no separate shower. They've installed two glass panels to act as a splash guard, but there's a large gap between them, which means shower water still wets the entire bathroom floor. 2. The windows in the rooms facing the street aren't double-glazed, so the noise from passing vehicles at night is very loud. At over 4000 a night, the value for money is extremely low.

GGuest UserAbsolutely stunning view. Cabin was older but very charming, we made the most of the fireplace in the room and enjoyed a view of the lake from our balcony. Bathroom was clean with everything we needed. Coffee also provided in the room which was nice. I read the beds were uncomfortable on other reviews and I’d partially agree - not the best but again not the main reason or expectation for visiting emerald lake. I will say the pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable.  Staff were very friendly and attentive. Shuttle service was easy. Restaurant was pricey but overall good. No wifi or signal in the room is something to be aware of, but heightened the experience in my opinion. Overall, great!

KkymcuraHotel a bit outdated, soundproofing not very good. But apart from that, everything went well, location is in a safe and convenient place for public transpo. Cozy room. Only wish 2 things were available: slippers (bec the floor becomes very cold) and drinking water.

Amazing
MMikki LizIt was my second time staying at this hotel. There were two things I really needed to mention. First, I turned on Netflix and started watching a movie around 8:00pm but I fell asleep shortly after. Around 9pm someone started knocking on my door very loudly, which woke me up. I then heard someone outside saying, “Hey, lower the volume.” I was honestly super confused because the TV wasn’t even that loud???? and the knocking itself was louder than the TV and was what actually woke me up. I didn’t open the door because I found it creepy. After that, I called my friend, and he suggested I contact the front desk. When I called, the lady told me their housekeeper had already checked and there was nobody in the lobby anymore (which makes sense because it had happened around 20 minutes earlier). She also said other people shouldn’t be able to access guest floors without a key card. When I asked whether anyone staying beside me had complained, she said nobody was staying next to my room, and the guest next door had only just checked in. Maybe it was just someone passing by, but it was still really weird and uncomfortable. I’ve stayed in many hotels in different countries and have never experienced something like this before. The second issue was that both the internet and TV stopped working at night and were still not working the next morning when I checked out, which was really frustrating. I mentioned it during checkout, and the front desk staff simply said the whole building was having the same issue and they were trying to fix it 🥲 The good thing is they’ve now fixed the access issue, so everyone needs a key card to access their floor. The hotel itself is brand new, very quiet, and clean, which is why I chose to stay here again. Since it’s owned by Hilton, I honestly expected the staff to be a bit more professional when speaking to customers. The housekeeping staff were all super friendly though.

GGuest UserOverall, it is a pleasant hotel for a short stay in downtown. Despite the Karma Lounge currently being under renovation, the hotel arranged a room dining service for breakfast as an alternative, which is acceptable and yummy. The hotel staff are helpful and kind. The location is close to down town, 5 to 10 minute walk to Robson Streetfor shopping, 1 block away has a supermarket and some nice reastieant eg The keg steak house.
