Right next to the station and the official car rental point, 20 meters walk to the Rosen Hotel. The room was clean, but maybe it was on the 5th floor, there was no view outside the window. Cycling friendly, you can send luggage to Onomichi for 2200 yen.
The rooms at Imabari Kokusai Hotel were spacious and clean!
The view of Shimanami Bridge from the room was amazing! The night view was also amazing!
The breakfast was a buffet with lots of Imabari specialties, so I was able to eat my fill!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful!
Conventient location; 10 minute walk to nearest bus station, and about 30 minutes max travel time to anywhere we wanted to go!
Room was clean and compact; but the double bed is quite squeezy if you're fitting two people inside.
Buffet breakfast is 1300¥ if you inquire the day before you intend to eat. It is 1500¥ if you buy it on the day itself.
Accidentally booked a smoking room; but the staff were kind enough to change it for us once they had a room.
The staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining & shopping options nearby. The hotel has a shopping mall on the lower floors and is next to Mitsukoshi Department Store and Okaido Shopping Street. The Okaido Tram Stop is down the street. The bus stop for the airport limousine is right in front of Mitsukoshi. Attractions such as Bansuiso, Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum and the cable car to Matsuyama Castle are all within walking distance.
Location 1
Directly across from Imabari Port, 3 minutes? It was so wonderful.
The view of Imabari Castle from the room was great.
2. Service: Absolutely fantastic.
This was my first time seeing a place that offered unlimited candy and chocolates.
So, of course, they had bath products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and razors, and they also had about 10 different bath bombs (if you bought them at a store, you'd have to pay at least 3,000 won each, but they provided 10 different types for free). It was amazing and fascinating.
3. Breakfast: The best.
Even if you pay out of pocket or pay extra, you absolutely must try this hotel's breakfast. They cook it right in front of you early in the morning—you can watch it being prepared.
Not only the Japanese set menu, but even the toast is truly top-notch.
Grilled sea bream is always served as a side dish, and it's even better than at a regular restaurant.
They also serve fantastic fried eggs, a uniquely Japanese half-moon shape—when you cut it open with a spoon, it's slightly soft-boiled and bursts with a burst of flavor.
If you're visiting Imabari, be sure to stay here.
Are there any guests? I wanted to eat breakfast and dinner - if you pay extra at the hotel, you don't have to go to an outside restaurant. You can have it served until 3 p.m.
There are no seats available during meal times, lol.
While there are a lot of people at the hotel, it's quiet.
I really, really recommend this hotel.
Oh, you can take the bus to Imabari Futo Station. I took the bus from Matsuyama to Imabari and back. The bus fare was 1,200 yen. ^^
The bus was really convenient and on time. It never arrived even a minute late.
A sparkling new hotel with onsen and free flow welcome drinks (beer is limited to 1 per pax) but was still great. We stayed as a group of cyclist after completing the Shimanami kaido and the hotel was a great addition to end the ride. The onsen was heaven. The hotel is within minutes from the Station and bus stop, so definitely a plus. Eateries was just across the road with many options. Breakfast was simple but you can't beat it for the price.
This really is the legendary couples' hotel, definitely not suitable for those with small children (you know what I mean!). But seriously, this is the biggest room I've ever stayed in in Japan!!! The room was so big we could open both our suitcases without them getting in the way. The bed was definitely a king-size. They also offer breakfast and free parking. All in all, for me, there are no downsides!!! I loved everything about it. I would definitely stay again.
The hotel is clean and tidy. For self-check-in, staff are available to assist. You can pick up skincare products and toothbrushes at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Guests can enjoy the hotel's hot spring for free. It's very convenient for shopping, with Takashimaya right next door and two convenience stores downstairs.
Transportation is incredibly convenient. Please note, it's right next to Matsuyama-shi Station (not JR Matsuyama Station). If you need to go to JR Matsuyama Station, there's a tram stop downstairs that also provides direct access to Okaido, the Matsuyama Castle Ropeway, Dogo Onsen, and more. From Iyo-Tetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, where the hotel is located, you can also directly reach Baishinji Temple, a popular spot for fans of 'Tokyo Love Story.' Additionally, there's a highway bus terminal nearby, offering more economical travel to places like Takamatsu, Tokushima, and Osaka compared to taking the train, just for your reference.
The buffet breakfast is indeed excellent; the five types of orange juice and the sea bream rice bowl alone make it worth it. Every afternoon until evening, welcome drinks and coffee are also available for self-service on the 2nd floor.
The location is excellent! It's right in the middle of the two big transport hubs - JR Matsuyama station and Matsuyama City station. Both stations are 15 mins walk away, or you can take the tram to reach both of them, the tram stop is right next to the hotel. And there are convenient stores just at the corner. Food in the hotel restaurant is good, room is clean. The only thing which is not so satisfied is the internet wireless connection is not very stable. Overall I'm very happy with my stays.

ササフミBreakfast is separate (there may be plans for busy periods). There are two options available in December 2025, each priced at 800 yen. Advance reservations are required. Breakfast is served on the 7th floor with a great view. There is a slight tram noise in the morning, but it's not too noticeable. For those who like to go back and forth between the hotel and the hotel frequently, you can keep your key until check-out, which is convenient.
The price is just right for those who prefer a small private room over a capsule hotel. The smoking room was cheaper, so I booked that. As a non-smoker, the smell bothered me a little when I first entered the room, but I got used to it after a while.
Since it's a business hotel, the bathroom is small, so if you want a large bath, there's a hot spring nearby, so it's fine. Personally, I preferred this over Dogo Onsen.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.

SSkywalker2745Facilities: From the outside, the hotel looks compact, but it's surprisingly spacious inside, and the room size exceeded my expectations. The separated wet and dry areas in the bathroom are a definite plus. The parking lot is right next door, and the hotel offers a discount, so there are plenty of spaces.
Cleanliness: Excellent! Very tidy and spotless.
Environment: The location is great, situated on the main road to Matsuyama Castle, making it very convenient for getting in and out of the city. It's only a 10-minute drive at most to Dogo Onsen shopping street.
Service: The front desk staff member was very enthusiastic and spoke fluent English. His service attitude was excellent; he helped me carry my luggage downstairs and patiently explained the parking situation, including alternative parking options.
Next time I visit Matsuyama, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!
AayutripA Perfect Business Hotel! The rooms are new, clean, and compact but very functional. The bathroom was spotless and shiny. Personally, I really liked the library café in the lobby — a cozy space available to hotel guests even before check-in and after check-out. It offers free drinks, Wi-Fi, and power outlets. Breakfast had a limited selection, but everything was delicious.

GGuest UserHotel has some distance from the main Dogo mall but it has shuttle bus running every 10 mins from 3-10. Hotel itself is very clean and most of the staff were so friendly and carried traditional Japanese good manner.
My room is Japanese style and I love it. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was abundant, delicious and presented nicely. The staff named Itsuki Deguchi who took care my check in and dining service did a good job worthy to receive compliments.
Onsen was clean and very nice.
Will stay again next time
WWhYxWhYA hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience.
