Join the OCR Racers Class at The P.T Barn in Corringham for a comprehensive fitness, strength, and technical OCR session. This class is perfect for individuals who regularly participate in OCR races and want to enhance their performance. Regardless of your ability level, we will divide participants into groups of similar standards to ensure everyone gets the most out of the session. Prior obstacle experience is required. The class will begin with a functional group warm-up and basic movement patterns to prepare you for the session. You will then join a group based on your ability and follow a specific program. Each week, the program will vary, incorporating a wide range of obstacles, strength exercises, and fitness routines to help you prepare for upcoming races. Please note that while this is not a technical session, our team will be available to provide advice after the session, when possible. The OCR Racers Class will be held on Sunday mornings from 08:30 to 10:00, although please check our Facebook page or booking page for updates on class availability. The cost is £15 for adults and £10 for juniors. We offer five junior spaces per session, so please contact us to ensure the class is suitable for your child. Join the OCR Strength & Conditioning Winter Base Building Day in Corringham this winter to get strong and iron out any imbalances. This event will prepare you to hit the ground running in 2024! Building a strong base over the winter is crucial for peak performance. After the success of 2022, the event is back for 2023! The training day includes a range of assessments to evaluate your flexibility, stability, and strength. A 'Pre-Hab' routine will help strengthen and stabilize common weaknesses in OCR athletes. A 'Strength & Conditioning 1' routine will focus on basic push, pull, jump, and other exercises to build a strong foundation for OCR. The 'Strength & Conditioning 2' routine progresses the exercises and introduces more functional movements. A comprehensive stretch routine will address both basic stretches and common flexibility issues in OCR. You will receive the program on the day and access a video demonstrating all the exercises covered. Please note that this session caters to the average OCR athlete and common issues. For specific concerns, consult a physio or local trainer. To maximize results, incorporate the program into your weekly routine. Aim for 2 sessions of Strength & Conditioning, lasting just over an hour each, 2 sessions of Pre-Hab & Correctional exercises lasting around 20 minutes, and 2-3 stretching sessions taking 20-30 minutes each. From 09:00-12:00, participants can enjoy a wide variety of awesome obstacles for just £15. This is the perfect opportunity to train and play on the largest variety of obstacles found at any training venue. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced OCR enthusiast, the friendly environment at Pay & Play sessions ensures that everyone helps one another out. If you're attending for the first time, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance and arrive 15 minutes before the start time. Our coaches will meet you and give you a tour of the course. Children under 16 are welcome, but they must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. A coach will be available throughout the session, and there will be other training sessions and time trials taking place alongside the Pay & Play.
