The 2024 FMAC In School Tournament is set to take place on Saturday, May 18th at 10:00 am at the Family Martial Arts Center in Mount Dora. This event is open to all students who are eager to showcase their martial arts skills in a friendly and competitive environment. Participants will have the chance to compete in various categories such as Point Sparring, Weapons, Board Breaking, Forms, Padded Sword, and One Steps. Trophies will be awarded to 1st place winners, while 2nd to 4th place winners will receive medals. The Grand Champion will have the honor of having their accomplishment showcased on the wall. Registration fee for one or two events is $30. Additional events can be entered for $10 each. To secure your spot, make sure to register by May 12th. This community-focused event, hosted by Mount Dora Center for The Arts, offers both emerging and established Visual Artists a platform to showcase and sell their work in an outdoor art market setting. Discover a wide array of affordable, original, and quality artworks to satisfy your artistic passion. The event takes place on N. Royellou Lane, between 5th & 3rd Avenues in Downtown Mount Dora, Florida. Artists can set up their displays for free, with admission also being free to the public. Access the alley on foot from 5th, 4th, & 3rd Avenues, but please note that car access is not permitted. Street parking is available nearby, along with three free public parking lots for your convenience.
