Join us to create an Autumnal wreath out of willow and decorate with seasonal decorations. Join us to learn how to weave your own wreath out of willow and decorate it with seasonal decorations. This event is aimed at people who are beginners to willow weaving and is suitable for people aged 16+. Please wear old clothes as craft activities can get messy. Meeting point: Education centre. The Rangers will meet you outside the Education centre What is the age requirement for the event? · This event is aimed at people aged 16 and above. How long is the event? Most events last for 1 ½ -2 hours, unless otherwise stated. If it is a craft activity, it will last as long as it takes you to complete the task to a maximum of the given event time. Can I bring my dog? We do not allow dogs at our events Do I have to pay for parking? Car parking is payable at the machine by card or phone. Do I need to book? Yes, booking is essential. Full payment will be taken by Eventbrite when you book. Please note there is a booking fee. Will I get my money back if I cancel? It depends on how long before the event that you cancel. Please see the refund terms and conditions. What should I wear? Activities involve going outside, please make sure you’re suitably dressed for all weathers (mosquitos and horseflies will be about in the summer). Remember to bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent. What happens if there is a weather warnin g? We may have to alter your outside activity if there is a weather warning in place, but we will do our utmost to carry on with mitigations in place or provide an indoor activity (if possible). If we cancel your event due to extreme weather, we will offer you an alternative date for the event or provide you with a refund. Can I bring snacks and drinks? Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drink, however we don’t advise eating during the events as some activities require hand washing on return after the activity. Find the rangers along a spooky trail where they will serve you Campfire Jacket potatoes and other Halloween treats! Follow a spooky trail from the Visitor's centre up to our Woodlands at dusk (bring a torch) where you will meet the rangers who will have a campfire jacket potato waiting for you as well as some other halloween treats. Beans and cheese will be provided as potato toppings but feel free to bring other toppings of your choosing too! T his is an event for families with children aged 5+ and all attendees must have a ticket. Please note that the only seating available in our woodland area are logs so you are welcome to bring camping chairs with you if you would prefer. An adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 3 children is required due to the nature of the event. All children on a children's event must be accompanied by an adult (18+) and must not be left unsupervised. Please ensure you dress for the weather.
