Berkshire Electric Vehicle Awareness Event Come join us at Winnersh Triangle Business Park for an exciting and informative event all about electric vehicles! Learn about the emerging technologies in electric vehicles, chat with experts in the field, find out about grants and financial savings and test drive a wide range of electric cars and vans . We will also have an electric hackney cab on site for any local taxi drivers who would like to learn more about these low carbon vehicles. Don't miss out on this electrifying opportunity to expand your knowledge and be part of the green revolution! Agenda The full agenda will be released closer to the event. What to expect on the day: · Indoor presentations from experts such as the Energy Saving Trust and the University of Reading · Indoor and outdoor exhibitions · Display of static electric vehicles · Opportunity to test drive a range of electric vehicles · Engage in discussions with industry specialists and get advice · Networking opportunities · Free lunch and refreshments (Lunch will be available for those attending the presentations) Parking Free parking is available on the day at Winnersh Park & Ride car park, Wharfedale Road, Winnersh, RG41 5RD. Please note that to redeem your free ticket you need to use the code EV123 by selecting the “Heathrow Corporate” option at any of the two ticket machines located behind the bus shelters. The other ticket machines don’t have this functionality and so cannot be used. Test Drive Experience In order to participate in the EV Ride and Drive opportunities at the event you must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years and be over 21 years of age. On the day you will need to bring: · Your UK photo card driving licence · A printed copy of your Personal Driving Licence Check and your ‘GET A CODE’ reference which you can create by visiting: https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving-record/licence-number · Your National Insurance Number Once verified at the event, you will receive a wristband which you can then show in the Ride and Drive area. Drivers will be informed of manufacturer specific requirements during registration. Come along to the reception desk in our main room to book your test drive and find out how much fun electric vehicles are to drive! Everyone is welcome but if you struggle with anxiety, depression or just find life is very stressful right now, you might find our sessions of particular interest. We use mindful art techniques to create personal projects for our journals which enables us to channel our thoughts and anxieties in a positive way. We’re thrilled to announce that we are now running weekly workshops at Abbeyfield Care Home in Winnersh! Abbeyfield has generously offered us the use of their beautiful summer house, set within their peaceful garden—an ideal setting for creativity and connection. Getting there is easy: Plenty of free parking available Conveniently located on the number 4 and 4a bus routes When you arrive, just check in at reception—they’ll direct you through to us in the garden.
