About:
Marie-Pierre Savard is a passionate adventure cyclist with almost fifteen years of experience. Her love for cycling began with a solo trip in Central Asia, and since then, she has been drawn to exploring lesser-known destinations. She has traveled extensively in Mexico, as well as in Newfoundland, Portugal, and several American states, mostly on her own. In August 2020, she became the first cyclist to complete the Quebec Bikepacking traverse from Gatineau to Percé. This experience sparked her interest in creating bikepacking routes in remote areas. Marie-Pierre is a co-founder of the gravel and adventure cycling collective Les Fines Garnottes, as well as an ambassador for Panorama Cycles and Station 210 Ateliers de roues, and a contributor to Vélo-Magazine.
Nicolas Bourdeau caught the cycling travel bug in 2018 during his first long-distance bike tour through the Maritime provinces. In 2021, he fulfilled his dream of crossing Canada from Victoria to Montreal, combining his passions for photography and cycling, even creating his first photo exhibition along the way. In 2022, he embarked on a shorter but equally rejuvenating journey from Kamouraska to Natashquan. It wasn't until 2023, with Marie-Pierre's idea, that Nicolas experienced his first major off-road bikepacking adventure on the Baja Divide. Like any good bikepacking trip, it was beautiful, grand, and occasionally unpredictable.
