Following the success of previous sessions, we're back with a twist - Still Life Drawing Sessions: PLASTIC.
Join us for a laid-back afternoon of fun, surrounded by sustainable vibes and like-minded individuals. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this session is an ideal way to explore your creative side while embracing sustainability. Immerse yourself in a relaxed atmosphere as you sketch compositions featuring upcycled and found plastic items - a true transformation from trash to treasure. Our team of experienced artists will be on hand to provide guidance and tips to enhance your skills. Feel free to bring your own art supplies or borrow some from us.
While you create, enjoy a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage and mingle with other local creatives. The event will take place at ReWine in Brunswick, where you can soak up the sunny ambiance and engage with fellow art enthusiasts and eco-warriors. Our guest artist for this session, Rubyanna Edwards, will bring a unique and upcycled perspective to the table, showcasing their innovative approach to sustainability and art.
Included in the ticket price is a glass of ReWine wine or a non-alcoholic drink, a vibrant and sustainable PLASTIC themed tablescape featuring upcycled plastic items and other found treasures, as well as guided intervals to structure the session. Basic drawing supplies such as paper, drawing boards, pencils, and charcoal will also be provided. Additional materials can be brought along if desired.
Please note that cheese plates and other nibbles will be available at bar prices. The Still Life Drawing Session will take place on Sunday, March 10th, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with the venue open until 9:00 PM. Tickets are priced at A$30. All experience levels and styles are welcome in this inclusive and safe space.
The featured artist, Rubyanna Edwards, is an emerging inter-media artist known for their vibrant and abstract installation practice. Their work explores the relationship between space and time, with a focus on color as content.
