The Sailing Basic Skills (RYA Level 2) Adult Weekend Sailing Improvement Course is a two-day program designed for sailors who are looking to progress from the start sailing level to sailing independently. This course takes place at the Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club and follows the RYA syllabus to develop participants' confidence and competence in sailing without an instructor. To attend this course, individuals must have RYA Level 1 certification or equivalent skills and experience. Prior to the course, a two-hour taster session is available for an instructor to assess your confidence and competence. All necessary equipment, including wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and spray jackets, will be provided. Participants are only required to bring shoes that can get wet, a towel, and a change of clothes. The club offers lockable changing rooms and hot showers for convenience. Tea and coffee can be purchased at the club, and hot food is available on weekends from the Galley.
