For the first time, an exhibition dedicated to the great Italian couturier active in New York: he created splendid dresses for the great actresses of the 1950s and 1960s, including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, and Barbra Streisand.Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Barbra Streisand, and the Duchess of Windsor. During the golden age of Fifth Avenue, the most famous women of the 20th century entrusted their looks to Ferdinando Sarmi, a couturier capable of bringing a touch of Italian style to the style of American high society.From June 18 to December 31, 2026, the Museum of Fashion and Costume at Palazzo Pitti is dedicating the exhibition "Ferdinando Sarmi New York – A Journey Through Fashion from Florence to Fifth Avenue" to the designer, set up in the Saloncino da Ballo and adjacent rooms.The exhibition, the first of its kind, presents a selection of the couturier's iconic garments, displayed alongside materials from the Sarmi Collection preserved at the Museum of Fashion and Costume, and period accessories that evoke the cultural and social climate of New York in the 1950s and 1960s.

The Siena Prize Festival is an international photography festival held in the Tuscany region of Italy from October 10th to November 29th, 2026, taking place in the city center of Siena and the surrounding villages of Castelnuovo Berardenga and Sovicille. The festival begins with a grand awards ceremony at the Teatro Renovati on October 10th, followed by nine photography exhibitions showcasing award-winning works and special exhibitions by internationally renowned photographers such as James Natchaway. The exhibitions are open Friday afternoons from 3-7 pm and weekend mornings from 10 am to 7 pm, with free admission for children. It presents a grand photography festival that integrates art exhibitions, international exchange, and local cultural experiences for photography enthusiasts and cultural visitors.
