5Rhythms Ecstatic Dance St.Albans is a vibrant and inclusive dance community that has been practicing the transformative art of 5Rhythms for many years. This renowned movement practice, developed by Gabrielle Roth, offers a dynamic and holistic approach to self-discovery and creative expression through dance. Now, the community is excited to welcome renowned teacher Ajay Rajani to lead a special session in December 2023.

Ajay Rajani is an accredited 5Rhythms teacher who trained under Jonathan Horan, son of Gabrielle Roth. With roots in Africa and a multicultural upbringing in London, Ajay brings a diverse perspective to his teachings. Drawing from his own spiritual journey and extensive experience in meditation, Ajay encourages participants to embrace the present moment and allow their bodies to be their greatest teachers.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have never stepped foot on a dance floor, 5Rhythms offers a welcoming space for everyone. The practice invites you to explore and embrace your body's natural rhythms, unlocking your creativity and experiencing the joy of free movement. Through the 5Rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness, participants are guided on a transformative journey of self-expression, releasing pent-up emotions, reducing stress, and gaining a deeper understanding of themselves.

The upcoming session with Ajay Rajani will take place at Aboyne Lodge School, located at Etna Road, St Albans, AL3 5NL. The event will start at 7:00pm, so please arrive by 6:45pm. Fees for the session vary based on income, with higher income participants paying £25, standard fee participants paying £20, lower income participants paying £18, and those on Universal Credit paying £10.
