The 6th Annual Special Olympics District of Columbia Golf Scramble is a highly anticipated event that aims to raise funds for the athletes of Special Olympics DC. Taking place on October 20, 2023, at the Algonkian Golf Course in Sterling, the event promises a fun-filled day of golf and camaraderie. Participants will engage in an 18-hole scramble style tournament, where they will have the opportunity to play alongside the talented athletes of Special Olympics DC, SODC Staff, Board, and Young Professionals Council. In addition to supporting a great cause, a ticket purchase includes various perks such as a round of golf, a bucket of range balls, practice green time, a golf cart, and a gift bag. Throughout the day, a beverage cart will be available on the course to keep participants refreshed. The event will also feature an awards ceremony during lunch, with prizes awarded to the top team. Those who do not wish to participate in golf can still join the event by purchasing a lunch-only ticket. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, allowing companies to create brand awareness while supporting Special Olympics athletes. 100% of the proceeds from sponsorships will directly benefit the athletes in the District.
