Truman Capote, a prominent literary figure of the 20th century known for his iconic works such as "In Cold Blood" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's," was also a prolific writer of poignant short stories. Two of his most cherished and deeply personal tales, "A Christmas Memory" and "The Thanksgiving Visitor," have been beautifully adapted by The Whale Theatre, in collaboration with Tectonic Theater Project. This extraordinary production premiered as a captivating live radio play in December 2022 in Hudson, NY, under the expert direction of Matt Joslyn.

"A Christmas Memory" transports audiences to a grand Alabama home in the 1930s, where an 8-year-old Truman and his endearing best friend, a whimsical spinster in her 60s, share a heartwarming bond. The lyrical storytelling by Capote himself adds an enchanting layer to this tale of friendship and nostalgia.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a stunning art hall with a rich collection of art to linger. Whether it is ancient Egyptian statues, European Renaissance paintings, or Asian calligraphy and porcelain, each hall is like a window to different civilizations. Standing in the Egyptian Pavilion and watching the fully restored Danyu Temple is enough to marvel at the exquisiteness of ancient craftsmanship. In the European Painting Pavilion, Van Gogh&#39;s &quot;Rye and Cypress&quot; and Monet&#39;s &quot;Waterlily&quot; are near, and each one is full of vitality. The armor and weapons exhibition hall is like entering the world of medieval knights, those finely carved armor seems to still tell the story of the battlefield. Even after a whole day of shopping, I feel that there is not enough time. Every time I enter a hall, I can find new surprises and I am reluctant to leave.

One of the must-see attractions when traveling to the United States. The process of landing on the island is also very interesting. The photos taken around the island are very good. The staff on the boat have a good service attitude. There is also a museum on it. We spent a wonderful afternoon there.
