Experience a captivating reading of Truman Capote's beloved holiday story, "A Christmas Memory," featuring acclaimed Broadway veterans Marceline Hugot and Peter Frechette. Truman Capote, a prominent literary figure of the 20th century known for his iconic works such as "In Cold Blood" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's," was also a prolific writer of poignant short stories. Two of his most cherished and deeply personal tales, "A Christmas Memory" and "The Thanksgiving Visitor," have been beautifully adapted by The Whale Theatre, in collaboration with Tectonic Theater Project. This extraordinary production premiered as a captivating live radio play in December 2022 in Hudson, NY, under the expert direction of Matt Joslyn. "A Christmas Memory" transports audiences to a grand Alabama home in the 1930s, where an 8-year-old Truman and his endearing best friend, a whimsical spinster in her 60s, share a heartwarming bond. The lyrical storytelling by Capote himself adds an enchanting layer to this tale of friendship and nostalgia. Join us for this remarkable event at The National Arts Club in New York City.
