ACTING IMPROVISATION - Sunday 25th Feb 11.15am is an engaging and enjoyable workshop that offers a light-hearted and playful selection of improvisational games and scenes. This session presents a fun approach to accessible and playful improv, where participants will have the opportunity to engage in a series of enjoyable group games that are centered around acting without a script. This allows individuals to tap into the free and flexible part of their brain, promoting spontaneity skills. It also encourages collaboration with others, active listening, and fully committing to ideas to see where they may lead. Additionally, participants will develop skills in making things funny by keeping them simple. The workshop includes various techniques such as games, play, creative space utilization, and improvisation-based storytelling. Led by Cathy Towers, a psychotherapist-come-improviser with extensive experience in running creative workshops, this session provides a secure base for participants to explore their creative minds. With a supportive and nurturing approach, Cathy helps individuals access their untapped potential. Beginners are particularly welcome, and the session is designed to be a playful experience where 'mistakes' are welcomed as part of the experimental process. Join us on Sunday 25th February at 11.15am at The Practice Rooms Exeter, located at 15-16 Castle Street, Exeter, EX4 3PT, for a memorable and enriching workshop that will reignite your love for play.
