Experience movement-based burlesque classes and a peer review workshop at Burlesque & Chill's LEVEL UP Burlesque Workshop. This event, led by guest instructor Lili VonSchtupp, is perfect for intermediate burlesque performers with at least 1 year of experience. The workshop will take place at the Crown Theatre, a beautiful, small theatre space in Pasadena, CA. Join us for one class, both classes, or the entire workshop! 

The schedule for the workshop is as follows:

1pm - 2:15pm: Body Talk - Emoting and Storytelling Through Movement with Miss Lady Legs
2:30pm - 3:40pm: Clothing as a Prop: You Took it Off, So What? with Lili VonSchtupp
4pm - 5pm or 6pm: Peer Review Showcase

In the Body Talk class, taught by Miss Lady Legs, you'll learn how to connect your inner world to your movement quality, translate words and emotions into movement, and generate choreography that resonates with your characters and audience. This class will give you new kinetic vocabulary for movement and help you explore new ways of moving and thinking about choreography within the burlesque community.

In the Clothing as a Prop class, taught by Lili VonSchtupp, you'll master the art of using clothing as a prop in your burlesque acts. Learn how to tease and reveal while staying true to your character, storyline, or emotional intention. Lili will share her vast knowledge and help you discover unique and fun ways to use your clothing to surprise your audience.

The Peer Review Showcase is a safe space for performers to receive critiques and feedback from peers, local show producers, and festival judges. If you're looking to take your act to the next level, this is the perfect opportunity to get structured, actionable feedback. The showcase will include verbal feedback from instructors and peers, written feedback from peers, and a video of your act for review.
