Christine Evans will be hosting an event at Book Culture in New York City on Thursday, November 16th at 7pm. She will be discussing her newly released book, Nadia, published by University Press of Iowa. Helen Benedict will join the conversation as well. As the story unfolds, Nadia is forced to confront the difficult choices she made to escape the war, her survivor guilt, and her hidden queer sexuality. Evans's novel not only explores the personal struggles of its characters but also offers insight into the lasting impact of political violence on a country and the rise of ethno-nationalism.
