The event, "Coffee with a Curator: Facets," will be held at the prestigious MOCA Jacksonville venue, located at 333 North Laura Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. This engaging gathering will take place on October 21, 2023. 

"Coffee with a Curator: Facets" showcases the groundbreaking artwork of twelve internationally acclaimed contemporary ceramic artists. These artists are revolutionizing the boundaries of the medium, exploring abstract and mechanical forms by incorporating materials like wood, metal, and fabric into their creations. Notable artists such as Iva Haas, Todd Shanafelt, Matt Wilt, Tom Bartel, and Zemer Peled will take you on a journey through their unique perspectives. From fragmented and simplified human forms to the synthesis of the physical and synthetic world, these artists delve into historical references, culture, and the essence of humanity.

This event is part of the collaboration between the UNF Department of Art, Art History, and Design and MOCA Jacksonville. Stephen Heywood, Professor of Ceramics, and Trevor Dunn, Associate Professor of Ceramics, curated this thought-provoking exhibition. Admission for non-members is $15, while MOCA Members, UNF Students, Faculty, and Staff can attend for free. Please note that the MOCA Member discount does not include NARM and SEMC reciprocal members.

Due to an ongoing elevator upgrade, upper level access is temporarily unavailable. However, the first and second floors of the museum are accessible by stairs. Admission to the museum is currently free during this renovation period as we strive to enhance accessibility.
