This interactive workshop, led by two skilled guides, offers individuals the opportunity to step into the exciting world of improv. Whether you are a first-timer or simply looking for a break from your everyday routine, this low-pressure, fun-filled experience will ignite your sense of playfulness and boost your confidence. Our experienced instructors create a safe and welcoming environment, encouraging you to comfortably step outside your comfort zone. The workshop begins with a boundary check-in, establishing guidelines for respect, trust, and collaboration. Through engaging warmups and games, you will learn the joy of working together, building on each other's ideas, and creating compelling scenes on the spot. No prior acting or improv experience is required. Millie Hoffman, an enthusiastic improv performer with experience in teaching, and Barry Wright, a seasoned improviser and technology professional, will be your knowledgeable instructors. Discover the Magic of Improv is presented by Highwire Improv, a non-profit arts organization that fosters a community of artists dedicated to growth, collaboration, joy, and justice in Baltimore and beyond.
