Kathleen Marsh, a founding faculty member and former Visual Arts Department Chair at Boston Arts Academy, will be the speaker at the upcoming Fenway Speaker Series event. The event, titled "Fenway Speaker Series: Kathleen Marsh (Boston Arts Academy)," will take place on November 27, 2023, at the Fenway Community Center in Boston. Kathleen Marsh will share a short presentation about the history of Boston Arts Academy, which is the City of Boston's only public high school for the visual and performing arts. The school serves students who reflect the diversity of Boston's neighborhoods. During the event, graduates of the school will also share their experiences. Kathleen Marsh received her B.F.A. in sculpture from Syracuse University and her M.S.A.E. from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is a recipient of the Hugh Sloan Award for distinguished teaching. In 2007, she completed the Northeastern University/Center for Collaborative Education Principal Residency Network program with a focus on arts leadership. The event is free to attend, and it will provide a valuable opportunity to learn about the history of Boston Arts Academy from a respected member of the school's faculty.
