Known as an iconic figure in Western Australia, Birdbath has been a prominent artistic presence in the Fremantle community for over four decades. In fact, a former Mayor of Fremantle once hailed him as the embodiment of the town's artistic spirit. Throughout his adult life, Birdbath has dedicated himself to the creation of intricate, hand-drawn murals that adorn public spaces. His caravan studio has served as the backdrop for his remarkable body of work, comprised of meticulously detailed drawings. Aspiral Films, in collaboration with The Rechabite and with support from the State Government, has commissioned "FLOW" to shed light on Birdbath's life and artistic journey, as well as his integral role in Fremantle's ever-evolving creative identity and culture. Join us, alongside Horatio and his friends, for a special free screening of the documentary, accompanied by stunning projected animations of his drawings. The event will take place at Artsource in Fremantle on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Complimentary drinks will be provided upon arrival, followed by introductions to the film by Director Ross McCallum, Marcus Canning AM, Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge, and Hon Dr Brad Pettitt MLC. The screening will commence at 7:30 PM.
