Join Women of Culture for a special workshop called "Giving Thanks for Dance | A Movement Workshop + Friendsgiving Dinner" in New York City. This workshop is designed to celebrate the joy of movement and cultivate peace and gratitude during the holiday season. Led by Alexandra Harper, an avid mover and dance-lover, participants will have the opportunity to let the music move them and experience the simple pleasure of dance without expectation or judgment. This 75-minute workshop is a chance to release stress, tension, and negative feelings through movement, while reconnecting with oneself and the community. The workshop is open to female-identifying movers of all experience levels, and first-timers are welcome. No dance training is necessary. After the workshop, participants have the option to join a Friendsgiving dinner at the beautiful Parlour Room. The evening will begin with grounding exercises to get out of the mind and into the body, followed by warm-ups and stretches. Instead of learning specific choreography, attendees will be invited to dance freely to a curated playlist with verbal cues for healing and release. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are recommended, and journals and yoga mats will be provided. The workshop also includes time for optional sharing and reflection. Non-member tickets for the movement class are $20 for early bird registration and $25 thereafter. Combo tickets, which include the Friendsgiving dinner, are available for $50 during the early bird period and $55 thereafter. Art-full members can register for the combo ticket and get the movement class for free. Alexandra Harper, the facilitator of the workshop, is a creative entrepreneur and community builder who founded Women of Culture. She believes in the power of dance to heal, release, and move through life's challenges. Don't miss this opportunity to give thanks for the joy of movement and connect with yourself and others in a safe and welcoming environment.
