Le Sentier de l'espoir, a trail race held in Rigaud, is a not-to-be-missed event for trail running enthusiasts. This annual race, now in its third edition, aims to raise funds for the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal foundation. With the previous two editions raising over $10,000, the race has already made a significant impact on the community. Participants can choose from three challenging distances within the beautiful natural reserve: 1KM, perfect for young ones eager to explore the world of trail running; 6KM, a short yet demanding course suitable for both beginners and experienced runners; and 10KM, designed for those seeking a more challenging experience while supporting a good cause. For the most adventurous runners, there is also a 20KM course, offering a true test of endurance and determination. All profits from the race go directly to the foundation, making every step count towards a brighter future for the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. The race takes place at the stunning Sentiers de l'escapade in Rigaud, a mature forest with delicate ecosystems and breathtaking views of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region. The start times are as follows: 8:30 AM for the 20KM, approximately 9:00 AM for the 6KM and 10KM (after the 20KM start), and finally, 11:00 AM for the 1KM. Participants will receive a unique Le Sentier de l'espoir medal, proudly made in Quebec. Along the course, there will be three well-stocked refreshment stations, ensuring runners stay hydrated and energized. All participants will be provided with numbered bibs, and the race will be professionally timed for accurate results.
