Join Wittering SUP, an ASI accredited SUP school and British Canoeing Delivery Partner, for a mini-adventure on the stunning River Avon. Learn the art of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in a socially distanced and hygienic environment that adheres to government guidelines and advice from British Canoeing, the ASI, and the Avon Navigation Trust. With fully qualified instructors and all equipment provided, this experience is perfect for complete beginners or those looking for a refresher. The session, lasting approximately 1.5 hours, will take you from Arden Sailing Club to the Swan's Neck via Eckington Bridge. Suitable for ages 10 and above, with under 18s accompanied by a guardian. The minimum booking is 2 people, and the maximum group size is 5. The cost is £45 per person. During the session, you will learn how to paddleboard correctly, including the 5 phases of the paddle stroke, and safety and self-rescue techniques. After a land-based briefing, you will practice your skills on the water, exploring the river at your own pace. The session ends with a debriefing and plenty of high-fives. Our headquarters at Arden Sailing Club provide all the facilities you need, including toilets, changing rooms, refreshments, picnic tables, and secure parking. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a towel and a change of clothes, just in case. Don't worry if you're feeling unsure, we provide a gentle and supportive approach to ensure your safety and confidence. Refunds are available if you cancel at least 2 weeks in advance.
