🎨 Loops and Lines - Exploring Prewriting Through Artful Movement and Texture (Ages 3–6) Hosted by Friendship in the Feld Join us for a creative and hands-on workshop designed to support school readiness and prewriting skills through the joy of yarn painting! In this playful session, children ages 3 to 6 will explore painting in a new and exciting way—using yarn as a brush! This process naturally engages both hands, building fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and bilateral integration—all foundational for writing and empowering independence. We'll begin with a read-aloud story to spark imagination and connect the activity to language and literacy. Through art and play, we aim to foster connection and friendship through shared creative experiences in a warm, welcoming space. While creating their own colorful masterpieces, children will also: 🎨 Develop creativity and self-expression 🧠 Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking 👐 Experience a rich sensory activity that supports focus and emotional regulation 🔄 Learn through cause and effect as they experiment with materials ☕ Grown-Up Time:
Caregivers are invited to stay for each session, sip on coffee, and connect with other parents in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. 👥 More than one child interested in joining?With the purchase of a full-priced ticket, you can get 10€ off up to 2 sibling tickets each. This workshop is more than just art—it’s purposeful play that builds essential early learning skills in a fun, relaxed environment. Looking forward to growing with you! Further information:We will provide all craft and sensory materials as well as a caring and nurturing environment for safe and supported learning. We suggest you feed your child a small snack before the session, but will have some dry goods (rice crackers, raisins) on site just in case. We will also be providing coffee and tea for caregivers to enjoy while their children learn. We ask parents stay on site in case their child is struggling to join or having big feelings, but otherwise we invite adults in attendance to sit back, relax, and meet other parents. There is a toilet available for patrons but no changing table. Who we are:Meggie and Raela are your teachers with Friendship in the Feld, an early childhood development program providing play-based educational workshops for children. We are two early childhood educators with more than 20 years of combined experience with young children. Through sensory experiences, art exploration and child-led play, we aim to support social-emotional learning and help develop community and school readinessskills.

If you&rsquo;ve already made it to Berlin, I highly recommend climbing the stairs to the top of the Berlin Cathedral for the panoramic view. However, it really depends on your luck&mdash;during my visit the dome was under major renovation, and most of the view was blocked.Be prepared: the staircase has many steps, and the walkway at the top is quite narrow. When it gets crowded, you can&rsquo;t stay up there for long. For the best experience, I suggest visiting after you&rsquo;ve explored most of Berlin&rsquo;s major sights&mdash;seeing the city you just walked through spread out beneath you makes the view even more rewarding.

Charlottenburg Palace is beautifully preserved and gives you a real sense of Prussian royal life. The interiors are elegant and richly decorated, and the overall layout of the visitor route is well organized, making it easy to follow the story of the palace as you move from one room to the next. The gardens are also very pleasant for a walk, especially in good weather.One important tip: tickets can sell out quickly, and timed entry is strictly managed. I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to ensure a smooth visit and the best experience.
