New Manifest Theatre is excited to announce the 5th annual Manifest Minifest, a highly anticipated short play festival taking place in Austin. This remarkable event will be held at Ground Floor Theatre, located at 979 Springdale Road #122, Austin, TX 78702. The festival will commence on November 6th and encompass a series of engaging activities that will captivate theater enthusiasts. On November 6th, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Theatre in Austin Artist Panel. This thought-provoking conversation will be led by Producing Artistic Director, Simone Alexander, along with a panel of experienced theater creatives. They will discuss their personal journeys in the Austin theater scene and share valuable insights for those seeking to immerse themselves in this vibrant community. In addition to the enlightening panel, the festival will feature a selection of captivating short plays. Audiences will be enthralled by works such as "The Venus Problem" by Ang(ela) Bey, directed by Indiia Wilmott, and "Holy Inappropriate" by Allison Fradkin, directed by CB Feller. Other noteworthy plays include "Please Do Not Touch the Art" by Sally Seitz, directed by Mia King, "Snakes" by Kathleen McDowell, directed by Taylor Flanagan, and "Reflections of A Daydream" by John Mabey, directed by Eva McQuade. As part of this enriching experience, the festival offers various workshops. On November 11th, a Directing Workshop led by Lisa Scheps and a Producing Workshop led by Florinda Bryant will provide invaluable guidance for aspiring theater enthusiasts.
