Join the exciting and inclusive Meet Me At The Finish Line Youth Adaptive Try-athlon on September 16, 2023, at 1301 North Maple Street, Effingham, IL 62401. This incredible event welcomes athletes of all abilities, whether you're a seasoned triathlete or new to the sport. The try-athlon is designed to be inclusive and fun for everyone, providing an opportunity for young athletes in our community who may struggle with mobility or face barriers to participate. It's a chance to push themselves to the limit and ignite self-confidence in mobility while creating lasting memories. The race will commence at 9:00 AM Central Daylight Time, so be sure to arrive early for check-in and warm-up. Race heats will start every 30 minutes, so please arrive 45-60 minutes prior to your scheduled heat. The course will encompass swimming, biking, and running, with adaptive equipment available for those who need it. You are also encouraged to bring your own equipment. This event is sponsored by HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, AMBUCS, and the Richard E. Workman Sports Complex. Adaptive bikes will be provided by the AMBUCS chapter in Sullivan, IL. Come and be a part of this remarkable Try-athlon and experience the joy of crossing the finish line. Admission is free.
