Join the Nudos Macramé Workshop with artist Veronica Ybarra at the Angels Gate Cultural Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 19th. This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn the art of macramé and create beautiful plant hangers using traditional knotting techniques. Veronica, also known as Vero, will share her knowledge passed down from her mother. Participants are required to bring their own small pot, approximately the size of a coffee cup. Everything else needed for the workshop will be provided. Please note that pets are not allowed inside the buildings. For any inquiries, please email annie@angelsgateart.org.

The workshop is part of the RED EARTH GAZE exhibition, curated by Gloria Gem Sánchez, which showcases Contemporary Native visual narratives. Through their art, the artists express their life perspectives, merging the past and present as they envision the future. This celebration of Native peoples as multidimensional beings is not to be missed. 

Located in the historic Angels Gate Park near the Port of Los Angeles, the Angels Gate Cultural Center was founded in the 1970s by a group of San Pedro artists. It has since grown to include over 50 artist studios and offers a range of programs that engage the diverse communities of the Los Angeles Harbor region.
