Percival Everett, a distinguished professor of English at USC, will be presenting his latest novel, James, at a ticketed in-store event held at P&T Knitwear Books & Podcasts in New York City. This event, set for March 20, 2024, will feature a discussion and audience Q&A with Everett, who was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. James, named a Most Anticipated Book of the Year by TIME, NPR, and Oprah Daily, is a brilliant and action-packed reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the enslaved character, Jim. Joining Everett in conversation will be Brandon Taylor, the acclaimed author of Real Life and The Late Americans. Limited amphitheater-style seating will be available for this event, and a $5 general admission ticket can be applied towards the purchase of James or any product in the café. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks, and pre-signed copies of James will be available. Please note that there will not be an in-person signing after the event, but signed copies can be pre-ordered online or over the phone for shipping.
