Lisa Underhill

Director, System Operations & Grid Transformation
Lisa Underhill has over 28 years of experience in Information Services. As the Director of System Operations and Grid Transformation at EPCOR, she ensures the safe and reliable operation of the EPCOR’s Distribution and Transmission electrical grid. Lisa leads the development of operational technology architecture and the grid transformation strategy.
Previously, Lisa was the Director of IS Infrastructure & Security Services at EPCOR, overseeing IS infrastructure planning, capital implementation, and operational support, along with Cyber Security and IS governance.
Lisa's career includes roles in software design and development in the Government, Healthcare, and Technology sectors, with significant experience in IS governance and audit. She holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from the University of Alberta.
Chris Chapelsky
EPCOR Utilities Inc.
Senior Manager, Grid Transformation
Chris Chapelsky holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree specializing in power systems from the University of Alberta.
In 15 years with EPCOR, Chris has held progressive technical and leadership positions within Distribution and System Operations, in roles focusing on automation, grid control, smart grid, ADMS, and electrification. Chris now leads a dedicated team focused on examining the changing needs of EPCOR’s electric grid, and building initiatives to adapt EPCOR’s power grid for a future with higher amounts of renewables, electrification, and bi-directional power flows.
