Science on Tap: Companion Animal Health | Royal City Brewing & Beer Hall
Good science leads to healthy furry friends! Come and learn all about how and what dogs and cats should eat.
What determines how and what dogs and cats should eat? This session explores the anatomical, physiological, and behavioural differences that shape feeding our pets. We’ll connect the science of nutrition with real-world feeding practices, including how to support natural behaviours like hunting and play, especially in cats.
Dr. Alexandra Rankovic, Research Associate at the University of Guelph, is a Companion Animal and Equine Nutritionist who loves to talk all about healthy ways to feed our furry friends. Together with fellow presenter, Dr. Kate Shoveller, U of G Professor and Champion Petfoods Chair in Canine and Feline Nutrition, our world-leading experts will bring us the latest in the science of companion animal health. Come for the science, stay for the tail-wagging good time!
Doors at 6:45 pm, event will start shortly after 7 pm. Don't forget that there is more parking around the corner at 490 York Road if the lot in front of RCB is full.
