This weekly class presents basic teachings that you can immediately use to improve your work and relationships, cultivate inner peace and increase your enjoyment of daily life. Each hour-long class includes a meditation, a teaching, and time for discussion. Classes are based on the book Modern Buddhism . Everyone is welcome to attend. Classes are drop in. You do not need to pre-register to attend. Each class presents a new topic with new contemplations and meditations for our meditation training. Each class is a stand-alone class that is part of a series of classes. You do not need to attend the full series to benefit from these classes. Good science leads to healthy furry friends! Come and learn all about how and what dogs and cats should eat. What determines how and what dogs and cats should eat? This session explores the anatomical, physiological, and behavioural differences that shape feeding our pets. We’ll connect the science of nutrition with real-world feeding practices, including how to support natural behaviours like hunting and play, especially in cats. Dr. Alexandra Rankovic, Research Associate at the University of Guelph, is a Companion Animal and Equine Nutritionist who loves to talk all about healthy ways to feed our furry friends. Together with fellow presenter, Dr. Kate Shoveller, U of G Professor and Champion Petfoods Chair in Canine and Feline Nutrition, our world-leading experts will bring us the latest in the science of companion animal health. Come for the science, stay for the tail-wagging good time! Doors at 6:45 pm, event will start shortly after 7 pm.
