Island Book Club | Riverfront Park
Griffin Road West, Cochrane, AB T4C, Canada

Island Book Club | Riverfront Park

A gentle float down the Bow River leads to a secluded island where the only agenda is dinner and a good book. One day. No distractions. 📚🛶Island Book Club Forget the living room: this month, book club is going off the grid (and onto the river). Join us on August 14th for a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Found Books & Shop and Kelsey's Caravan , as we trade bookshelves for riverbanks and armchairs for rafts. Meet us at Riverfront Park parking lot at 3:30pm sharp (yes, sharp: the river waits for no one), and together we'll float down the Bow River to the crown jewel of the afternoon: Wildcat Island. Once ashore, the agenda is gloriously simple : a generous "lupper" spread, a good book in hand, and the kind of quiet that only wild nature can offer. We'll see the Bow River valley from a perspective most people never get to experience, which honestly is worth the trip alone. Professional guide(s) from Kelsey's Caravan will be with us every paddle of the way, so all you need to bring is yourself, your book, your fave drink and your best river energy. We'll be back at Riverfront Park - watching the sunset as we go - between 9:30–10pm, sun-kissed and well-read. 🗓 Date: August 14th 📍 Meet: Riverfront Park Parking Lot at 3:30pm SHARP 🏝 Destination: Wildcat Island 🍽 Includes: Lupper (lunch/dinner), all safety equipment + professional river guide 🔙 Return: Riverfront Park, 9:30–10pm Spots are very limited ... because islands are. Grab yours before they're gone. Information Source: Found Books | eventbrite
